”Miracles prove that God exists” P1

I agree with the statement ‘Miracles prove that God exists’. The reason for this is because if anything out of the ordinary happens and it breaks the laws of science then it is classed as a miracle. Jesus was know for doing many miracles such as, walking on water, healing blind men and feeding thousands with one fish. God gave Jesus the power to do all of those miracles. This shows God exists because without God Jesus wouldn’t have been able to perform all of these miracles. That’s why I agree with the statement ”Miracles prove that God exists”

PRE homework P4

I agree with the statement “A religious upbringing brainwashes children” Eventhough children should have there own mind they should be guided, however if the child is not listening then the parent might have to use other methods. Some parent might even use threats if needed. On the other hand, many parents don’t use threats and force their child to go to their place of worship and will even hit them if they don’t go. That’s why I agree with the statement “A religious upbringing brainwashes children”

PRE homework P3

I agree with the statement “A religious upfront brainwashes children” The reason for this is because parent may lie to you if you don’t want to go to your place of worship or they may use bribes. Many parents will make you bless your food or pray before bed. This can be seen as brainwashing because it is being repeated over time and is sinking into the brain. That is why I agree with the statement” A religious upbringing brainwashes children”

PRE homework P2

I disagree with the statement ‘A religious upbringing brainwashes children’. This is because if your parents are Christian and you want to be Muslim they cannot stop you because it’s not their choice and you have a voice in what you want to believe in and who you want to worship because that is very important. You don’t want to be forced into doing something that you don’t want to do. That is why I disagree with the statement ‘A religious upbringing brainwashes children’

PRE homework P1

I disagree with the statement ‘A religious upbringing brainwashes children’. The reason for this is because it is the child choice to believe what they want to believe. No parent is allowed to have control over what their child thinks. The parents job is to guide the child to the right things not to have full control. That is why I disagree with the statement ‘A religious upbringing brainwashes children’

Book review homework

My book that I read over the half term is The sword of Kuromori

This book is very relavent to power because Kenny Blackwood has the power to see creature and people that normal humans cannot see. This’s makes him powerful because many people are scared of him and they want him dead. His power makes him dangerous he is in the middle of a war and he needs to find a fabled lost sword that can save mankind and the opposition doesn’t want him to find it. Also in nine days the war will erupt so he has to hurry if he has any bright ideas to save the world!

Wide Reading Project

During the year you will be asked to read a wide range of texts. Using texts studied in class as well as texts you have selected you will also complete a log of the reading process. Overall you will read eight texts including at least six written texts and two visual texts. You will complete log entries on each text and present a report on your findings.

Attached is the outline of your required personal reading project – inside is the guidance you need to make sure your own-choice reading is going to meet the wide reading criteria.

You can always ask your teacher for advice about which texts would be best to concentrate on – and once you’ve read each text, you’ll then be asked to write a journal entry on your blog explaining how it helped develop your understanding of The Individual and Society.

This year everyone in the school will be required to have a ‘book at hand’ – and for English students, it makes a good idea to make that book one that helps you towards this reading project.
